Cape Town is ranked as one of the top 5 cities in the world. Also known as the Mother City, it offers incredible landscapes, amazing wines, food and warm African hospitality. We spent more than 4 years in South Africa and this blog psot distills our experience in Cape Town for you.

When to go?
The short answer is anytime! Cape Town is a beautiful city in every season. February to March are generally less rainy and the Southern Hemisphere summer is the most enjoyable. Even in winter, the weather does not fall below 5 degrees, so other months can be preferred.
Getting around
Public transportation in South Africa is both limited and not used much in terms of security. Even though Cape Town is the safest place in the country, I recommend you to use private vehicles and similar services for transportation. If you are renting a car, I recommend it (make sure you have enough data packages on your mobile phone, because the distances are long, a lot of data is consumed. No, if you don't want to bother with the car, you can go left and right by taxi or uber, but the transportation organization for Cape of Good hHope, Wineland and similar trips must be arranged in advance. It would be best to do this with support from where you left off. A call from a local makes the tour company extra good in terms of both price and approach. But if you ask me, it is too touristic and other people who will probably come to the tour may restrict you. More or less There are places to spend time.
Day 1- Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Beach (Penguins!)
The Cape of Good Hope route is a wonderful way to start exploring the Cape Town area. The road you will use on your way here (Chapman's Peak Drive) is one of the most beautiful scenic drives in the world. I recommend you to go by car (the most enjoyable part is with a convertible car, of course :)). On the way you can stop by Simon's Town and eat good and fresh seafood. If you're lucky, you can see local whales (Humpback whale) on the right and left while you're driving. Cape of good hope national park is the last stop of the day trip. The park is one of the few places in the world in terms of vegetation diversity, you will also see Baboons on the roadside while driving. The road takes you to the point where the lighthouse is. The walk to the famous lighthouse here takes at least 1.5-2 hours. You can plan your time accordingly and watch the wonderful view at the intersection of the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean at the lighthouse. There is also a restaurant here to sip wine or beer or just to prolong the pleasure. Dinner alternatives abound in the city. If you are looking for a quality place, Aubergine (fusion) is a classic!
Day 2 - Table Mountain, Camps Bay and Lion's Head
Let's continue to our second day with a slightly lower tempo after the physically intense day of the previous day. If the weather is nice, you can go to Table Mountain before the tourist hordes arrive in the morning. You have to go here by car and take the cable car. If you want a little more scenery, you can also go to Lion's Head. Afterwards, you can spend time on the beach on the Camps Bay side and watch the kite surfers over the waves. Alternatively, go to the city center and walk on the pier at the V&A Waterfront. Camps Bay offers quite a bit of restaurants on the main street, for example Paranga is quite good. Chill out parties at the beach lounge in the evening are also very enjoyable. For dinner, you can check out Glasshouse, Nobu, Chef's Warehouse and many more.
Day 3 - Winelands and Winery Tours at Stellenbosch
Get ready for an unforgettable day! There is only one question to be answered on the wine tour: which region to go to?. Stellenbosch (around 50km to the city) and Franschoek (around 80km) are the two best areas - but doing both in the same day is tiring. Let's also remind you that there is no right or wrong decision here as both regions have equally incredible wines!. If you go to Stellenbosch (we suggest you be there around 10:30), you can do wine tastings in Kanonkop, Simonsig, Tokara, Waterford and Jordan. There are many choices for lunch, we preferred Terroir and Tokara, which are the oldest of the region. After tasting and wonderful meals, a sweet weight will begin in the body. If you prefer Franschoek, you can visit Boekenhoutskloof, Haute Cabriere, Rupert and Rothschild, Grand Provence and La Motte. For lunch, Foliage and La Petite Farme are very successful classics. If you have room afterwards for dinner, check out La colombe, kerome 95, test kitchen or nobu can be considered.
